Maximum Upload size in WordPress is very limited upto 32MB and 64 MB only. On many occasions we have to upload file more than restricted limit.
As, you can see, I increased the maximum WordPress upload size of my WordPress. I can o it too. Just follow the simple steps.
Method 1 – Theme Editor
Go to the theme editor in your wordpress.
Go to function.php and find code something like given below
@ini_set( 'upload_max_size' , '64M' ); @ini_set( 'post_max_size', '64M'); @ini_set( 'max_execution_time', '300' );
Edit the values and Save the changes and will now see the upload size is increase as per your value.
If you don’t see any changes, then the probable reason is host is not supports using theme editor. For this situation, move to the next method given below.
Method 2 – MultiPHP.INI
Login into Cpanel by entering Username & Password.
Search or Find for MultiPHP INI Editor, and click on it
Select the property or Website.
Find for upload_max_filesize, enter the maximum size that you want to configure for the WordPress. There are also other parameters you can change like Memory Limit, Maximum Process execution time, Maximum Input Time etc. Click on apply button after entering all the values.
And now check, that your Maximum Upload Size will be definitely increases.
